Please Welcome Stephanie A. Murad To Hardee, Massey & Blodgett!

We’re proud to announce that Stephanie A. Murad is joining the practice as an experienced attorney! With over 11 years of experience as a civil litigator and general counsel, Stephanie will help strengthen the firm’s personal injury and wrongful death practice areas with the same commitment to excellence that has always defined Hardee, Massey & Blodgett LLP. She brings passionate advocacy for her clients and the experience of a successful litigator to get justice for her clients for these types of cases.

Stephanie Murad

Stephanie completed her juris doctorate degree from North Carolina Central University in 2013 with magna cum laude honors. She completed her bachelor of arts undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with summa cum laude honors and was part of the UNC Chapel Hill Varsity Softball Team. Her competitive spirit in college was recognized with two Academic All-American awards and the prestigious Athletic Director’s Scholar-Athlete Award. She also served as the Pitt County Bar Association President in 2021 and as the Vice President in 2020.

Stephanie originally wanted to become a lawyer because of the example of her father. Dr. Murad still practices in Pitt County and is the definition of a caring, committed physician. Stephanie saw his compassionate care, thoroughness and attention to detail, and commitment to his patients and wanted to represent that herself. She strives to have the same personal relationship with each of her clients while getting them the justice they deserve.

Stephanie, Kyle, and Maverick supporting their Tar Heels!

Stephanie is a lifelong resident of Pitt County. She and her husband Kyle have been married for more than 6 years. One of Stephanie’s favorite stories about her and Kyle’s courtship is reflecting on how they started dating. Although Kyle was a big and intimidating bouncer when they were in college together, he was a gentle giant and shy when it came to dating. After they’d been dating for several weeks, Stephanie asked if Kyle was ever going to kiss her, or if they were just going to continue as friends. There was no turning back after that first kiss, and they’ve now been together for 12 years (married for 6).

Stephanie and Kyle have an 18-month-old son, Maverick. No matter how stressful and hard her day is, she’s filled with purest joy whenever she comes home and sees her son running towards her with a big smile, asking for a hug. One of the biggest surprises to Stephanie about parenthood was how WRONG she was in thinking that she could still efficiently multitask the way she previously did prior to having children 😊.

Stephanie and Kyle visiting the pyramids in Egypt!

When Stephanie’s not helping her clients, she loves to travel and go fishing. She has a goal of traveling to one exotic location every single year if she’s able, and loves to learn about new cultures. She’s also a self-professed fishing fanatic, finding a ton of excitement in trying out new baits or lures when doing inshore saltwater fishing. She will forever love Mediterranean food and has a strong recommendation for the tabbouleh from Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill! She, Kyle and Maverick are also diehard Tar Heels fans and make a point to support every game they can!

We at HMB are so excited and happy to have Stephanie as part of our team. Her fierce dedication to her clients combined with her exceptional litigation experience will be a significant asset to the practice.

Welcome to the practice, Stephanie! We’re beyond excited to see the impact you make with your clients and with our team!
