Behind the Scenes with Linda Goff: A Paralegal’s Tale of Compassion and Resilience.

Linda Goff has been an essential member of the HMB team for the past eight years, as a Paralegal. Her role involves providing crucial support to attorneys handling personal injury claims. This includes tasks such as gathering medical documentation to substantiate clients’ injuries and assembling packages for attorney review and submission upon completion of clients’ treatment.

During their vacation on the Roanoke River fishing for monster Blue Catfish, Linda and her husband, Donald, enjoyed a memorable moment as she hooked a Brim Fish.

One of Linda’s favorite aspects of working at HMB is the family-oriented atmosphere. She feels deeply appreciated and respected, finding a sense of belonging akin to being part of a close-knit family within the professional environment.

When it comes to dining out, Linda loves Outback Steak House or Texas Roadhouse. Her taste in music is diverse, spanning various genres including pop, rock, country, and Christian music, making it challenging for her to pick a single favorite artist or song. However, she enjoys immersing herself in the storytelling of films, with “The Color Purple,” “Fried Green Tomatoes,” “Steel Magnolias,” and any horror movie ranking among her favorites.

Linda holds her parents in high regard for the values they instilled in her, shaping her into the compassionate and caring individual she is today. Reflecting on her childhood aspirations, Linda always dreamed of becoming a mother, a dream she’s joyously fulfilled with four children and four grandchildren.

With her husband at The World of Outlaws Series in Charlotte, NC, Linda is an avid dirt track racing enthusiast.

During her leisure time, Linda cherishes lazy Sunday mornings spent relaxing on the couch alongside her husband. She hopes to be remembered as a loving, caring, and family-oriented person dedicated to her work and faith.

Known affectionately as “Mama Linda” around the office, she embodies a nurturing presence, always ready to lend an ear and support to her colleagues. Describing herself in three words, Linda chooses “loving,” “caring,” and “sweet.”

Looking toward the future, Linda’s aspirations include ensuring her loved ones, including everyone she works with at HMB, know the depth of her affection and make a lasting impact on their lives. Beyond work, she finds happiness in spending quality time with her family, attending dirt track races, and indulging in fishing trips.

Whether hosting family dinners or cheering on the UNC Tarheels, Linda finds joy in the company of loved ones. If luck were to smile upon her with a lottery win, Linda would invest in a mountain retreat, her favorite travel destination being Maggie Valley.

Guided by her father’s wise counsel to focus on what can be changed rather than worry about the uncontrollable, Linda embodies resilience and determination. If she were to have a superpower, she would choose invisibility—a reflection of her inclination towards observing and supporting from behind the scenes rather than seeking public recognition.

Thank you, Linda, for your exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to HMB. Your hard work, commitment, and positive attitude are truly appreciated by all. You consistently go above and beyond, ensuring the success of our cases and the well-being of our team. Your professionalism, expertise, and willingness to lend a helping hand make you an invaluable asset to our organization. We are grateful to have you as part of our team.
