Getting to Know Pam Schedler: The Receptionist with the Right Attitude

Pam Schedler has been a proud member of the HMB team for the past three years as a receptionist. Pam spends her time helping case managers and paralegals with her exceptional organizational skills to make sure they’re fully prepared. This includes a range of vital clerical tasks such as scheduling, faxing, printing, distributing correspondence, and other duties that ensure a smooth-running office.

Kind, encouraging, and positive.

Pam agrees with the saying “Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” as she also loves the fast-paced nature of her job as well as the people she works with, whom she considers family. She enjoys meeting new clients and being in a work environment that allows her to learn something new every day.

When going out for dinner, Pam often chooses La Fiesta or Logan’s but finds it difficult to pick a favorite. For music, Pam prefers easy listening from the ’80s, Christian radio, and enjoys encouraging, faith-based films such as “Facing the Giants,” “War Room,” and “Overcomer.”

Pam, her husband, and granddaughter enjoy a moment and smile for the camera.

Pam enjoys spending her leisure time with family or an enjoyable book, but recently, Pam has also found a new way to enjoy her free time: “My husband and I purchased a van, and we have been spending our weekends converting it into a camper. Super fun project! We like to explore new places or go camping.” Pam loves traveling to the mountains and mentioned she would like to try living in an RV for a few months. In fact, Pam enjoys the mountains so much that if she won the lottery, her first purchase would be a cozy mountain cabin.

Pam is also enthusiastic about helping others. She has been involved with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child for over thirty years and hopes to one day volunteer at their regional distribution center. The project provides shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to children all over the world.

When “Gigi” (as her grandchildren fondly call her) and family get together, they often spend time working on projects and cooking meals together. Family is especially important to Pam, as evidenced by her strong bond with her husband, whom she admires greatly.

Pam and Her Family

Words that help describe Pam include “kind,” “encouraging,” and “positive.” This is illuminated by her motto: “When life throws things at you, you get to choose how you handle it. Make sure the choice you make is one that you can live with.” Pam strongly believes that a cheerful outlook can bring hope to any situation, a belief that she happily shares with others.

We at HMB are happy to have Pam as part of our team. Her dedication to exceptional service, ability to multi-task, unwavering work ethic, and positive attitude are appreciated by the HMB staff and clients alike. Thank you, Pam, for always surpassing our expectations in everything you do and being an important part of our team.
